Embark on a New Adventure: Pokémon TCG “Journey Together” Launches March 17th

“You teach me and I teach you,” are lyrics from the original Pokmeon anime that have left an indelible mark on us. The core theme to Pokemon has always been about the bond between a trainer and his or her buddy. Using a mix of moves, held items, and battle strategies, the pair face down situations from nefarious villains to friendly rivals alike.

Journey Together celebrates this bond by featuring iconic characters from across the generations of Pokemon such as N, Lillie, and Iono and gives them special items and Pokemon to work together for incredible abilities. One revealed combo is Lillie’s Clefairy ex which, while a tough ‘mon itself, has its signature move Full Moon Rondo able to dish out extra damage based on the total number of benched Pokemon (yours and your opponent’s). To help fill the opponent’s bench, you can use Lillie’s Ribombee to do just that with its Inviting Wink.  When the time comes for Lillie’s Clefairy ex to be knocked out – as it for sure would be a priority target for your opponent – you can reduce the number of prizes your opponent draws by one if you attached the Lillie’s Pearl Pokemon Tool to it! NICE!

On Monday March 17th, The POP Shop will release the set along with a Prerelease tournament prior to big box stores.  Select specialty stores around the US were selected for this special event, and The POP Shop is proud to be one of the key locations.

REGISTY FEE: $30.00
HOW IT WORKS: Pokemon Prerelease tournaments allow players to receive and play with cards from the upcoming expansion up to two weeks before the expansion’s official release date! Each participant receives a Prerelease kit containing four 10-card booster packs from the upcoming expansion set, a 22-card Deck Builder pack, and an exclusive foil promo card.  Each player will build a 40-card deck from this kit and play against each other in an organized tournament.
PRIZES: After the event players each receive an additional 3 booster packs from the upcoming set.
