A very colorful summer awaits you starting July 18!

The previous set – Destined Rivals – offered you a very black-and-white choice: Do you side with the bad guys (Team Rocket) or the good guys (everyone else)? Now as we
are facing Scarlet & Violet set 15…and 16?…that same kind of choice changes from metaphor to a literal one.

Ah have you figured out the gimmick to this set yet? The Pokémon TCG is embracing its video game roots by offering you two standard legal sets! That’s right, both White
Flare and Black Bolt are a set unto themselves with each having over 170 cards – WOWZA! Each will have their own EX cards, Illustration rares, and Special illustrations. Between the two you will be able to collect all 156 Pokémon from the Unova Region.

You can count on The POP! Shop to carry the usual assortment of packs and Elite Trainer Boxes.

As you explore the setting from Gen 5, you’ll meet familiar friends and inspiring legends along the way. Much as the games offer different Pokémon depending on the choice you make, so too will these expansions follow suit. White Flare features Reshiram ex as well as Keldeo ex, and Black Bolt could see you cracking a pack to find a Zekrom ex or Meloette ex!

For as neat as the legendaries are, and as popular as Trainers like Hilda are as well, a personal favorite has always been the simple and everyday characters and their art. This is the first time that each of the Pokémon in a set will get the Illustration Rare or Special Illustration Rare treatment. If you want a treat in the form of a treatment, check out Dwebble’s. This is my #1 favorite and is 100% what the spirit of summer truly is!

Just as many of you will see or probably already saw explosions of light and beautiful displays during Independence Day, so too should you have some vibrant colors and fantastic art
dazzling your eyes each time you open a pack to add to your collection. To test your skills as a trainer and not just a collector, be sure to stop by The POP!
